Looking at the Stars – An Indigenous Perspective
All cultures went outside at night and looked at the sky. Indigenous People throughout the world have a deeply intimate relationship with the great sky and how it is connected to our reality. My people, the Ininiw (Cree) have contemplated, debated, dreamed, meditated and held ceremonies about Kitcikisik, the Great Sky. Participants will be introduced to Ininiw Acakosuk (Cree stars) and Misiiwa (all that is) and how all things are connected, intertwined, symbiotic and entangled within each other’s energy.
