Dr. Shirley Thompson

Shirley Thompson is an associate professor with the Faculty of Environment, Earth, and Resources at the University of Manitoba. Shirley is the principal investigator with the Mino Bimaadiziwin Partnership, and worked with MITACs programs to ensure cohorts in First Nations are provided funding and education in their communities. Her focus is building community-university partnerships that build capacity for Indigenous youth to develop their community through hands-on experiences.
