Jim Thunder is a Business Development Officer at the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs. He obtained his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Manitoba in 2017, with an interest in helping First Nation communities with economic development initiatives and social reforms. For over three years he assisted with conducting literature reviews on a Manitoba Research Alliance project, focused on indigenizing the co-operative model in Manitoba. Jim is a well-known public speaker and is often called on to share his experiences at special events. He volunteers as a social media engagement and fundraising coordinator for Circles for Reconciliation, and previously served as a Board member for Macdonald Youth Services.
