Marilyn Tanner-Spence is a member of Waywayseecappo, and owner of Teekca’s Aboriginal Boutique at the Forks Market, and Teekca’s Boutique stores in St. Vital Mall, on St. Matthews Avenue, and in Norway House Cree Nation. Her next project is to showcase artists doing live demonstrations. Marilyn has a diploma in Nursing from Red River College, a Degree in Nursing from University of Manitoba, and her Master of Arts in Public Administration from University of Victoria. She is credited with helping to establish the first Northern Nursing Program, and the first on-reserve dialysis unit on Reserve. She has participated on boards at the Misericordia Health Centre, and the Manitoba Indigenous Tourism Advisory Committee.
