Biography

Michael Hutchinson, a member of the Misipawistik Cree Nation, began his career as a print journalist and later transitioned to communications. He worked as a writer for the Indian Claims Commission, Director of Communications for the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs, and project manager for the Treaty Relations Commission of Manitoba. Hutchinson was a host and producer for Aboriginal People’s Television Network (APTN) and later worked for advocacy organizations before becoming a co-host for CTV Morning Live Winnipeg. Hutchinson currently serves as the communications manager for the First Nations Education Resource Centre, where he seeks to promote First Nations languages, and cultures. His greatest accomplishments are his two daughters.
