Biography

Stephen is a Councillor with Long Plain First Nation (LPFN), martial artist, and entrepreneur. A loving husband of 23 years to his wife Lisa, they have three children. Stephen’s works experience includes LPFN Gaming Commission, Economic Development Director, Television Master Control Operator and business owner. With his family, Steve, Donna, Kirt and Jocelyn Prince, they founded Prince Ogitchita Martial Arts Systems (POMAS), which is now in its 22nd year of operation. Other notable accomplishments include: World and Canadian Sikaran & Arnis Hall of Fame as Distinguished Instructor, Member and Coach – Team Canada 1994, 2014, 2018 World Sikaran Championships, Central Manitoba First Nation Representative 2010 Winter Olympics, and Founding Member of the First Nation Gaming Confederacy. In 2016, LPFN Chief & Council awarded him the ceremonial Title of Ogitchita Ogemakon – Warrior Chief. Previous recipients of this honour were Stephen’s father Steve Prince and his grandfather Rufus Prince.
