Victor Walker

St. Theresa Point Anisininew Nation

Victor Walker is a Council member from the St. Theresa Point Anisininew Nation community and currently holds the Housing and Capital Projects portfolio. Victor grew up in St. Theresa Point. He graduated High School in year 2000 and pursued his education and enrolled in Construction Electrician Apprenticeship program and completed a Red Seal Program in 2007. Victor worked as a Construction Supervisor at St. Theresa Point First Nation. He went out for Solar Panel Training course that involved design and installation. With this project for the school, Victor became involved in the planning stages and worked on the funding portion and was part of the installation process.

The challenges within the community is the remoteness and overcome the boundaries of being in a remote community to bring in this project for the school.
