Biography

Reconciliation Run & law student

Tréchelle Bunn, 23, from Wampum, Manitoba, and a member of Chan Kagha Otina Dakhóta Oyáte (Birdtail Sioux Dakota Nation), holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with a minor in Indigenous Studies from the University of Manitoba. Currently pursuing her law degree at Robson Hall, University of Manitoba – Faculty of Law, Tréchelle demonstrated versatility as a Bison Women’s hockey team player. She founded the Reconciliation Run in 2022, Canada’s first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation half-marathon. As Youth Chief of the Southern Chiefs’ Organization, she represents youth across 34 First Nations in southern Manitoba, showcasing her prowess as an athlete, academic, and advocate.
