Alyssia Sutherland

Alyssia Sutherland is a 29-year-old Dakota and Ojibwe woman from Peguis First Nation in Treaty 1 Territory. Alyssia is a mother of two boys, Terren and Joseph, a full-time designer and seamstress, and the founder of Ally’s Ribbons, a 100% Indigenous- and woman-owned business that provides custom-designed ribbon work for Indigenous women, men, and two-spirit folks across Turtle Island. Alyssia has had the opportunity to showcase her ribbon work in Cannes, France in May 2023; at New York Fashion Week in September 2023; at the Manito Ahbee Red Road Fashion Show in May 2024; at Sycuan Fashion Show September 2024; and Paris Fashion Week in September 2024 before ending the year with Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week in November 2024.
