Biography

Community Futures North Central Development

As a Metis northerner, Michelle Pruder has a special interest in Indigenous issues, and especially in the economic growth and well-being of northern First Nations communities. For over 15 years, she has been involved in community and economic development in a variety of capacities that include strategic, action, and business planning, research and development of best practices strategies/workbooks, feasibility studies, and small business start-ups.

Michelle is currently the Indigenous Women’s Entrepreneur (IWE) Program’s Business Support Officer for Community Futures North Central Development (CFNCD). The northern IWE program serves all the communities north of approximately the 53rd parallel.
