Biography
As a Métis northerner, Michelle Pruder has a special interest in Indigenous issues and especially in the economic growth and well-being of northern First Nations communities. With nearly two decades of experience in community and economic development, Michelle has worked in various roles including strategic planning, business development, research, and the creation of best practices, feasibility studies, and small business start-ups. Currently, she serves as the Business Support Officer for the Indigenous Women’s Entrepreneur (IWE) Program with Community Futures North Central Development (CFNCD). This program serves communities located in northern Manitoba, helping to foster entrepreneurial opportunities for Indigenous women in the region.
