Biography
Wanda belongs to the Bear Clan from Hollow Water First Nation. She has worked passionately on language and culture revitalization for decades. Anishinaabemowin, also called Saulteaux or Ojibwe, is her first language, and she considers it both a gift and a responsibility. She has worked as a language instructor for many years at all grade levels and continues to work evenings in providing language instruction for different agencies, organizations and institutions. She is currently the team lead for the First Nations Language and Culture unit at the Manitoba First Nations Education Resource Centre Inc.
