Conway Kootenay – Conway is a Comedian, MC, Actor, Stunt Man and Champion Chicken Dancer. AKA Smudge Pan, Conway has garnered national attention through his online sketch comedy series. With millions of views and thousands of followers, Conway is quickly becoming one of the Nations most talked about Native Comedians, some might say he is “real DEADLY”.
North End Legend – One of Winnipeg’s newest bands, with sounds of rock and pop fusion, North End Legend will have you dancing and singing along with their catchy melodies and lyrics. Each member brings with them talent and experience with Keith Dutiaume hailing from the famous Metis Musical Family the Dutiaumes, Yves Gagnon who is a pro on the bass, Pamela Davis from bands like Indian City and Eagle & Hawk, and Rich Reid from Canadian Rock band Jet Set Satellite.
Plains Ojibway Singers and Plains Ojibway Dance Troupe – A family-oriented group of performers that brings the best that First Nations culture has to offer with traditional song and dance. Having travelled across the nation with great pride and honour, they have not only represented themselves, but all First Nations. Witness and partake in this unique and colourful event that will not only move you but will please you as well, from start to finish.
Clint & Riley Dutiaume – When it comes to playing the fiddle, Clint Dutiaume is a master of his craft. Nine-time winner of the Manitoba Instrumentalist of the Year Award, Clint is also proficient on the guitar, bass, mandolin, and drums. For this Manitoba music industry veteran, there is no challenge on stage or the recording studio he has not faced and overcome. His Number 1 Son, Riley, is now engaged full-time in the music business. Riley is also busy writing and making song demos for his debut CD. They currently tour as a duo and with their full band show.
Conference Banquet
To wrap up this extraordinary event, Vision Quest is hosting a banquet which includes a three-course dinner, presentation of awards for the Dragon’s Quest Business Plan Competition and the Steve Prince Memorial Bursary. But the fun doesn’t stop there, the Conference Banquet will also showcase exclusive live performances from Conway Kootenay, North End Legend, and the Plains Ojibway Singers and Dance Troupe.
