First Two Performers Announced For Vision Quest:

Mattmac and Andrina Turenne

This year’s Vision Quest Virtual Conference is being presented October 20-21, and will be available for 30 days on demand for registered delegates. Highlights include keynote presentations by award-winning singer/songwriter Susan Aglukark and entrepreneur and author Kendal Netmaker, ten workshops for professional, community and personal development including a youth stream of sessions, and entertainment by some of Manitoba’s best Indigenous performers.

MATTMAC

A recording artist and producer who is blind, Mattmac has taken his melodic pop trap beats and inspiring story to quickly establish himself as one to watch on the national music scene in Canada. Hailing from Garden Hill First Nation, with over 500,000+ streams across all platforms, Mattmac’s catchy melodies, thoughtful lyrics and hard hitting beats presented on his debut release continues to turn heads. His latest single Think Too Much charted on NCI’s Indigenous Music Countdown hosted by SiriusXM Canada.

ANDRINA TURENNE

Born in St. Boniface, Manitoba, Andrina Turenne is a singer, songwriter and musician with strong ties to her Francophone/Métis roots and her home community of Winnipeg. In the last two decades, she has been involved with many successful projects including JUNO award-winning Chic Gamine, has contributed to over 40 recordings, toured on five continents and performed live for radio and television, including a feature spot on 2019 Indigenous Day Live. She is thoughtfully carving out a new path as a solo artist and will be recording her debut full-length album in June 2021.
