Honourary Chair: Darlene Beck

It’s a long-time Vision Quest Conference tradition to choose a distinguished member from the Indigenous community to be recognized as Honourary Chair. This year’s Honourary Chair is Darlene Beck.

From Cross Lake, Manitoba, Darlene was born and raised in the North and has lived in several Northern communities. For 41 years, she has been employed with the Cross Lake Community Council now known as the Incorporated Community of Cross Lake, as Chief Administrative Officer.

One of the founding team members for North Central Community Futures Development Corporation, Darlene has been on the Board for 24 years as Chairperson, Board Member and Volunteer. She is a founding team member for the Cross Lake Cadet Program, and Chair of the program’s Sponsoring Committee.

Darlene was a recipient of the Queens Diamond Jubilee award in July 2012 for her commitment and dedication to Manitoba. Her biggest accomplishment is being mother to four beautiful children and Kokum to 13 grandchildren.

Come and meet our Honourary Chair online at the Vision Quest Virtual Conference, presented October 20-21, and available for 30 days on demand for registered delegates.
